On the Tejon Ranch near the southern end, is Little Sycamore Canyon. Not a deep riparian canyon, it hosts majestic sycamores within sight of the desert expanses below. This one just couldn't stand up straight, and had dropped some of its branches right there on the ground. In the background you can see a scrubby oak that is so much a part of the Valley Oak Woodland. This area skirts these oak woodlands/grasslands and the desert.
